This course explores World History from a global perspective. After examining the rise of civilizations in the Middle East and in Asia, the course will cover the development of societies-traditional and modern-in Asia, the Middle East and Africa, Europe, and the Americas. Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs):
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Develop an understanding of the basic principles and theories involved with world civilizations in the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas.
  2. Apply principles and theories to major events related to the rise and development of civilizations
